DAYAKDAILY WRITING COMPETITION 4.0 – SARAWAK’S FOLKTALES

The writing competition is exclusively open to Sarawakians, ensuring participation reflects the state’s cultural heritage. There are two distinct categories: the Adult Category for individuals aged 19 years and above, and the Youth Category for participants aged between 12 and 18 years. To maintain fairness and integrity, employees, immediate family members, or affiliates of DayakDaily and the Sarawak Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts (MTCP) are strictly prohibited from entering the competition.

Each participant is allowed to submit only one original entry, centered on the theme “Sarawak’s Folktale,” highlighting a memorable story from the state’s rich folklore. All submissions must be original and unpublished across any news portals, online platforms, or social media channels. Additionally, any accompanying photographs must be the participant’s own work and not sourced from others without proper consent, ensuring authenticity and respect for intellectual property.

Entry Period:

1. The entry period is from January 2, 2026 to April 2, 2026.
2. Entries must be received no later than 11.59pm on APRIL 2, 2026 (THURSDAY).
