Pos Malaysia invites all Malaysian students aged 9–15 years to take part in the 55th UPU International Letter-Writing Competition 2026 and share how a simple letter can bring people closer in this digital age. Write a letter to a friend about “Why Human Connection Matters in a digital world”.

The competition is open to students in Malaysia who are Malaysian citizens aged between 9
and 15 years as of 5 May 2026.
- Entries must be submitted in English, not exceeding 800 words, in the form of a
handwritten letter, and may include accompanying illustrations. - Compositions must contain the elements of a letter (heading, greeting, body, complimentary
close, and signature line). - Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
- Structure as a letter
- Adherence to the theme
- Creativity; and
- Use of language
INDIVIDUAL CATEGORY
- Primary school category (9-12 years old)
o Top 3 winners: RM200 each, e-certificate & Pos Malaysia merchandise - Secondary school category (13-15 years old)
o Top 3 winners: RM200 each, e-certificate & Pos Malaysia merchandise - Grand Prize winner: RM800 & e-certificate [selected from the overall Top Winners]
