The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan established the “Hamaguchi Goryo International Award” in 2016 to recognize individuals or organizations in Japan and abroad who have made outstanding achievements in disaster prevention and mitigation against tsunami and storm surge
This year, as a new initiative to further promote disaster prevention technology, MLIT will hold the “Hamaguchi Essay Contest 2023” for high school students from around the world, who will lead the next generation.
The application is now open until July 31!
